Shadforth Cemetery

Shadforth Parish Council is responsible for Shadforth Cemetery which is situated next door to St Cuthbert's churchyard.
Any queries or requests for information can be made by contacting the Parish Clerk at [email protected]
We have a contractor who tends to the Cemetery. They cut the grass, manage the trees and bushes, empty bins and keep the area tidy.
Should you wish to book a burial or interment, your Funeral Director will contact us and we will allocate a plot. Your next of kin will be issued with a Grant of Exclusive Right of Burial which stands for a period of 99 years. Residents and non-residents of the Parish can be buried at Shadforth Cemetery. A person must be 18 years or older to reserve an ashes or burial plot within the Shadforth Cemetery.
***We currently have an issue with moles at the Cemetery. The Parish Council are looking into ways of bringing the issue under control and have approached a British Pest Control Association (BPCA) approved company to assist us***
